Standards of Conduct & Dress Code
The Cleveland Chess Foundation is a professional, study-focused environment designed to support serious intellectual work, instruction, and research.
Members and guests are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the Foundation’s mission and the shared nature of the space. This includes respect for quiet study areas, equipment, materials, and fellow members.
Dress Code:
Members are expected to observe a business casual standard while using Foundation facilities. This policy reflects the professional nature of the space and helps maintain an atmosphere conducive to focused work and mutual respect.
As part of this culture, members are encouraged to wear official Cleveland Chess Foundation apparel, including Foundation polos, while on site. Apparel is optional but strongly recommended and helps reinforce a shared identity within the community.
The Foundation reserves the right to address conduct or attire that is inconsistent with these standards in order to preserve the quality and integrity of the environment.
