How Support is Used
Support for the Cleveland Chess Foundation is directed toward building and sustaining long-term institutional capacity.
Contributions may be applied to:
• Development and maintenance of Foundation spaces, including the Chess Library, Smart Play & Study Room, Advanced Analysis Room, and The Commons
• Acquisition, preservation, and translation of historical and contemporary chess literature
• Educational programming, tournaments, lectures, and instructional initiatives
• Research tools, technology, and equipment supporting advanced study and analysis
• Structured support for aligned nonprofit organizations through application-based grants and material assistance
All use of funds and resources is guided by the Foundation’s mission and governed to ensure responsible, sustainable impact.

The Cleveland Chess Foundation is currently in an active development and build-out phase.
Membership enrollment, charitable contributions, and institutional sponsorships will open once Foundation spaces, systems, and programs are fully operational.
